Comments:  Poppy was owner handled to all of her wins she was shown to any and all judges , she was only out of the ribbons a few times. Poppy was a great ambassador for sable cockers , she had the cocker grin* and would turn it on anyone who talked to her.We met Micheal Allen at a Las vegas show. Micheal was so taken with that grin she was sitting on the blacktop playing with Poppy . She was the girl who one breeder Judge made the comment about , that he had given his first points to a sable/white out in Arizona. She would win your heart with her antics as my housedog , and go to the shows and was all business, her last show before the ban took effect was a BV win. what a thrill and heartbreak at the same time. As you can see she was already a champion in my eyes.Poppy was pointed.

This web site and accompanying list are for the promotion of the sable color in American Cocker Spaniels...... Although we can't show them in conformation, (USA) they can still participate in juniors, obedience, agility, hunt tests, field trials, etc. We'd love to hear stories of what people have done with their sables
